Cancellations and Refunds
Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) Cancellation and Refund Policy was last modified on June 21, 2023.
Cancellation is defined as the act of discontinuing a service or product provided by Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost). The customer agrees that a cancellation request can be submitted at any time through the Client Dashboard or by opening a ticket with our Billing Department.
During the process of canceling a product or service, Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will attempt to resolve the reason for the cancellation request if provided and act in the client’s best interest. If the product or service is no longer suitable for the customer, Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will act in compliance with our Terms of Service policy.
Billing and Renewal policy
Any product or service provided by Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) is billed regularly according to the billing cycle chosen by the customer during the order process. If customers wish to cancel a recurring service, they must submit a cancellation request via the Client Dashboard or submit a ticket to our Billing Department.
Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) offers subscription-based web hosting solutions. These products renew automatically to ensure that:
1. The customer’s website remains accessible.
2. Data uploaded to the customer’s web hosting account stays secure.
3. Customer domains are renewed on time.
Renewal payments are not covered by the advertised money-back guarantee.
If the customer submits a cancellation request before the renewal date of any purchased product from Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost), but less than seven days before the renewal date, we can issue a refund equal to the amount paid minus the cost of the purchased product for a single month of the new term at the regular monthly price.
If the customer fails to submit a cancellation request before the renewal date or submits it on or after the renewal due date of the purchased service, no refund will be issued.
If the customer fails to submit a cancellation request entirely, Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will generate a renewal invoice fourteen days prior to the renewal date and attempt to charge any saved payment method on file seven days before the renewal date of the purchased service. If unsuccessful, another attempt will be made on the renewal due date.
Customer obligations in regard to the renewal of purchased services
The customer is obliged to:
1. Know their purchased product renewal date. Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will send three emails before the renewal date:
– The first email 14 days prior
– The second email 7 days prior
– The third email on the actual renewal date
2. Ensure their email address is correct.
3. Ensure Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) can send emails to the provided address.
4. Whitelist the domain name info.ishost.co to receive important emails.
The customer agrees that purchased or renewed add-on services or any third-party services offered by Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) are non-refundable, regardless of when the cancellation request is submitted.
The customer agrees that it is their sole responsibility to ensure all payment information is correct and up-to-date, and that all outstanding invoices are paid if the service is cancelled before the due date.
Renewal payments for Products or Services with Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) must be submitted within 24 hours after the product due date. If customers fail to submit payment within this period, Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) reserves the right to suspend their account until renewal payment is received. While Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) is not obligated to inform customers, we will strive to do so before suspending the service.
The customer agrees and acknowledges that a web hosting product purchased under the terms of any ongoing promotion will be renewed at the regular price (also referred to as a renewal price) unless the promotional terms state otherwise. Attempting to purchase an additional web hosting service from a separate client account or the same client account for hosting domains and websites previously hosted by Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will be considered a breach of this Agreement. Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) reserves the right to conduct regular checks on all clients’ accounts. If a domain name was previously hosted under another web hosting account, the plan may be suspended without prior notice, in addition to other actions mentioned below.
The customer acknowledges and agrees that to continue hosting their domain name with Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost), they must pay the renewal fee for their original hosting account. If the payment is not made, the customer must migrate their data from the initial plan to the new plan without assistance from our support team. Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) reserves the right to deny the 30-day money-back guarantee and refuse technical support for these services due to breach of the Agreement.
The customer agrees that any non-renewed Shared Web Hosting account will remain on our servers for no more than 5 calendar days after the due date. If renewal payment is not received within this period, we will delete the Web Hosting account, all generated backup copies, and any related data. This includes the entire Web Hosting account and all associated information.
If the Web Hosting Service is a VPS or Dedicated Server, the customer must renew the service on or before its due date. Failure to submit payment within 24 hours after the due date will result in the deletion of all data related to the Product or Service. This includes all accounts created on the VPS or Dedicated Server, all backup copies, and all information associated with the non-renewed service. Additionally, if the service is a Dedicated Server, the entire server may be dismantled.
Service Cancellation
A product or service can be cancelled either by the customer or Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost). No third-party service, entity, or jurisdiction can request or achieve service cancellation on a client’s behalf.
Service Cancellation by the Customer
To cancel a product or service, customers must submit a proper cancellation request. They can do this by either using the cancellation option in the Client Dashboard or submitting a cancellation ticket to our Billing Department, explaining the reason for cancellation.
The customer agrees and acknowledges that there are two types of service cancellation, depending on the period chosen in their Cancellation Request:
1. Immediate Cancellation: The service will be cancelled immediately after Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) approves the cancellation request.
2. Next Due Date Cancellation: The service will remain active until the next due date, at which point it will be automatically cancelled.
The customer acknowledges and agrees that Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will retain a copy of the Shared Web Hosting account for no more than 5 days after the cancellation request becomes active and the Product or Service is cancelled. After this period, all data associated with the customer’s Shared Web Hosting account will be permanently deleted without any option for restoration. This includes the entire Shared Web Hosting account as well as any generated backups.
For VPS or Dedicated Server services, we will retain data for no more than 24 hours after the cancellation of service becomes effective. After this period, we will remove the entire server, permanently deleting all hosted data without any option for restoration.
Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) cannot be held responsible for any data loss due to service suspension or termination. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to keep their web hosting account data fully backed up remotely to avoid any loss of data.
Service Cancellation by Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost)
The customer agrees and acknowledges that Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) can cancel any Product or Service offered without reason. Cancelled services are not subject to partial or full refund, nor is Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) obligated to give any prior notice to the customer. Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will not be held responsible for any loss of data if we cancel the service.
The customer agrees that the reasons for cancellation of service by Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) include, but are not limited to:
1. Violation of Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) Terms of Service.
2. Involvement of the Web Hosting account in activities illegal or forbidden by the Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) Terms of Use.
If such a reason arises, Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will act according to the severity of the violation. In most cases, we will attempt to resolve the issue before proceeding with complete service termination. We will open a Support Case detailing the violated terms and provide our customers with reasonable time to resolve the issue:
– 7 days for our Shared Web Hosting products
– 3 days for our VPS and Dedicated Servers products
The period begins immediately after a case is opened in our ticketing system. The customer is solely responsible for being aware of the case and resolving it within the provided timeframe.
Immediately after cancellation, Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will provide the customer with a backup archive containing all data hosted on the cancelled/terminated service. The backup archive will be available for download for 7 calendar days. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they download the backup archive completely within the timeframe provided by Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost).
If Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) cancels service for reasons other than a customer’s Terms of Service violation, they will issue a prorated partial refund for the remaining prepaid months of the Web Hosting product or service. The refund amount is calculated as follows: the full prepaid amount minus the price per month of the cancelled service multiplied by the remaining months of service. Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will offer several refund options for customers to choose from. For PayPal users, the refunded amount will be automatically sent to the customer’s PayPal account.
Money-Back Policy
You can cancel your hosting plan within the first 30 days for a full refund. Only first-time accounts are eligible for a refund. If you’ve had an account with us before, canceled and signed up again, or opened a second account, you won’t be eligible for a refund. Violations of this Agreement will waive your refund rights.
Our Money Back Policy covers initial orders of Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Virtual Private Servers, and Dedicated CPU Servers. Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will fully refund the Web Hosting payment if the cancellation request meets these requirements:
1. The request is submitted within 30 days after a Shared Web Hosting product or service becomes active.
2. The request is submitted within 1 day after a VPS Server product or service becomes active.
The cancellation request is not eligible for a full refund when:
1. A Shared Hosting upgrade, Reseller Hosting upgrade, or extra service has been active for over 30 days.
2. A Shared Hosting or Reseller Hosting is purchased on a Monthly Billing Cycle.
3. An additional Shared Hosting account is purchased to avoid renewing the original service.
4. VPS and Dedicated Servers have been active for more than 1 day.
If you cancel within 30 days, you receive a full refund on your hosting service only. The money-back guarantee doesn’t apply to most add-on products, such as domains, given their unique cost nature.
If you cancel within 30 days and your plan includes a free domain, Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will deduct a non-refundable domain fee of $15.99 from your refund. This covers our costs and ensures you won’t lose your domain name. You may transfer it to another registrar or point it elsewhere at your convenience. Newly registered domains can’t be transferred to another registrar during the first 60 days of registration. You retain ownership of your domain until the end of its registration period unless you renew it.
Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) doesn’t offer refunds for cancellations after 30 days.
The customer agrees that if a domain name has been registered or transferred for free as part of Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) Products and Services, upon service cancellation, a fee equal to the costs of domain transfer/registration service will be withheld.
Chargebacks and Disputes
The customer agrees to and acknowledges the right to chargebacks. Before submitting one, the customer must inform Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) of the reasons compelling them to submit a chargeback or dispute with PayPal. Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will always work with customers to resolve any outstanding payment issues before a chargeback or dispute is raised.
The customer agrees and acknowledges that if a chargeback or dispute is raised, Direct Cyber Tech (ISHost) will suspend access to the Web Hosting product or service related to the case. To reactivate any suspended Web Hosting Service due to a chargeback or dispute, a customer must ensure that the dispute or chargeback is cancelled or, if completed, that any outstanding balance is paid.
This refund policy is subject to change without prior notice. We encourage clients to review the refund policy periodically for updates.
